How to be a good external counsel?

Would you like to improve your relationship with outside counsel?

Here is what you can do – in my opinion.

- Respond to emails within 1-2 business days.
- Don't send invoices without first informing the other party of the upcoming fees.
- Give clear deadlines and instructions.
- Pay invoices as soon as possible, but always within 1 month.
- Shorten your emails. If necessary, separate it into points/topics.
- After listing the options, also share your professional opinion which one is the best option in the current situation.
- Provide appreciation or other feedback.
