I started this blog in 2020, while preparing for the EQE main exams. After passing all exams for the first time with flying colours, I started supporting other candidates on their EQE journey.
Since then, I tutored more than 150 candidates regularly (on a weekly basis), including people from prestigious companies such as the EPO, Finnegan, Keltie LLP, Grünecker, Maiwald, Hoffmann Eitle, Barker Brettell, Brann AB, Laine IP, Bergenstråhle & Partners, Nestle, Kuhnen & Wacker, Betten & Resch, P&TS, Appleyard Lees, Onsagers, Abel+Imray, Simmons & Simmons, Clarke Modet, Pirelli, Adidas, Novo Nordisk, Knauf, tesa SE, Japan Tobacco International and Roche and held about 300 meetings as an EQE tutor.

An honest and transparent reflection about the last 6 months.

Last-minute PCT refresher for CIPA
I was asked to provide a short presentation as a last-minute PCT refresher for EQE candidates. The event took place online, on 13th February 2023 and was organised by CIPA Informals. More than 100 candidates attended.
In this post you can download my presentation in PDF format.

Free e-EQE related Q&A meeting
I am organising a free e-EQE related Q&A meeting for EQE 2023 candidates, where you can ask two freshly qualified European Patent Attorneys your questions regarding the upcoming e-EQE, IT setup, backup computer, IT issues, WISEflow, stress, etc.

Free PCT refresher with Cees Mulder

Real-time e-EQE methodology sessions in 2023
Join me on Zoom to learn my e-EQE methodology!
Many of you requested that I do “real-time e-EQE methodology sessions” in 2023 as well. This was the most popular event last year, I have received so many positive feedbacks! A lot of you said that you used the same methodology and passed.

Paper D2: 5 common mistakes
After finishing 10 D2 study group meetings (8-12 candidates in a group, every meeting lasting about 5 hours), I noted the most frequently made mistakes so that you can all learn from these and gain more marks.

Advent Calendar 2022
In this post I am sharing the content of my EQE Advent calendar with you that you could follow on LinkedIn from 1 December. If you missed any of the daily posts or would like to read them again, here you can find them all.

Calendar for EQE 2023
In EQE 2023, no calendars will be provided with the examination papers. The basis for calculating time limits are the days on which the EPO filing offices are closed as published in the Official Journal.
I prepared the EQE calendars for you using the new OJ 2022 A107.

Paper D2 methodology and updated D2 table
The D2 methodology I learnt and used at the EQE are so amazing! It is seriously my favorite part, also to teach.
In this post, I am sharing the steps of this methodology and also an updated template (with more place for disclosures).

My submitted 2021 Paper C answer
I’m taking a brave step and sharing my actual Paper C answer I submitted at EQE 2021 hoping that it will be helpful for your Paper C preparation.

PCT applicant's guide in WISEflow
PCT Applicant's guide is already available from WISEflow, yaaay!

What the EQE committees said about Paper D…
The annual meeting of EQE tutors and members of the EQE committees has just ended. If you are sitting EQE Paper D in 2023 or 2024, make sure to read my summary about the Paper D discussion.
If I had to create a clickbait title, I would say: Will PCT Applicant's guide finally be available in WISEflow?

Fee tables for self study
Here is your homework for Paper D!
While it is nice to have tables that are already filled with all the time limits, taking the time and preparing your own tables is much more effective for studying.

Event calendar
I created an event calendar (November-December 2022) to show you what kind of courses you can join and also to show you the reason why there have been less blog posts recently.

To support you in the step of planning, I created a very simple study plan template. Check the post to download the PDF!
